THIN WAXY FILM RUST & CORROSION PREVENTIVE, NO-VOC, WATER-DISPLACING

RP-30015-LVP is an outstanding water displacing, non-staining rust preventative which will rapidly separate water displaced from metal surfaces after machining operations or after alkali cleaning. Ultra-thin, highly protective films are applied with RP-30015-LVP. These ultra-thin films are effective in the protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from atmospheric corrosion even under conditions of high humidity. Shelf life of protected items under normal inside non-climate controlled storage conditions is 1 year. Climate controlled storage protection is up to 5 years. RP-30015-LVP has been specifically formulated to protect metal surfaces during storage in outside environments. When the insides of tubular goods are treated and capped, the metal surfaces are protected from atmospheric corrosion in fresh and salt water environments.

VOC Regulations:
LVP Fluids are specific solvents with Low Vapor Pressure (LVP) that meet the LVP-VOC exemption criteria established in California's Consumer Products Regulation and in the USEPA National Volatile Organic Compound Emission Standards for Consumer Products. Due to their low volatility, LVP Fluids (also known as LVP-VOCs), are non-reportable VOC in calculations of the VOC contents of regulated consumer product categories. RP-30015-LVP is formulated with LVP Fluids that meet the vapor pressure criterion specified in both the federal and California consumer product regulations. All meet California's boiling point threshold (>216o C) using ASTM D86-96, and the most volatile ones have been confirmed using Isoteniscope -- ASTM 2879-97, as modified in California Air Resources Board Method 310, November, 1998.

Application:
RP-30015-LVP can be applied by dipping the parts to be protected in a vat or spraying the parts to be protected with air sprayers, pump type sprayers or by pouring the product over the parts. Removal of protective films is accomplished by using a steam cleaner or washing the parts in mineral spirits.
