MIL-C-372C (MIL-PRF-372D)

Rifle Bore Cleaner, Cleaning Compound Solvent
This specification is approved for use by all departments and agencies of the Department of Defense. MIL-C-372C (MIL-PRF-372D) covers one type of bore cleaner for use in the removal of primer salts, and as a temporary preservative for metallic items. MIL-C-372C (MIL-PRF-372D) is approved for cleaning the bore of small arms and automatic aircraft weapons.

Application
Mil-C-372 can be applied by dipping the parts to be protected in a vat or spraying the parts to be
protected with air sprayers, pump type sprayers or by pouring the product over the parts. Removal
of protective films is accomplished by using a steam cleaner or washing the parts in mineral spirits.
