MIL-C-11796C Class 3 is a soft-film petrolatum (grease) corrosion preventative compound.  This product is structurally identical to the Cosmoline-type rust preventative used on firearms and heavy equipment during World War II and provides years of rust protection.

INTENDED USE: 
MIL-C-11796C Class 3 is intended to be used as a corrosion preventative compound on antifriction bearings or on machined surfaces for which a protection material that is brushable and easily removable at room temperature is required.

APPLICATION:
MIL-C-11796C Class 3 should be applied by brushing, swabbing or using an airless spray at room temperature, or by dipping into the product while it's in a molten state. This product should only be applied to clean dry and rust free surfaces.  

REMOVAL:
MIL-C-11796C Class 3 can be removed by vapor degreasing, high pressure steaming or using a high performing solvent.
